Northeast Ohio Science and Engineering Fair 2008
Special Awards From ASA Cleveland Chapter

Each year, the Cleveland Chapter of the American Statistical Association awards a number of prizes for the best uses of statistics in a science fair project at the Northeastern Ohio Science and Engineering Fair (NEOSEF). Our aim is to improve the scientific reasoning used by the students to reach their conclusions through proper use of statistical thinking.

For 2008, the NEOSEF had a large turnout of over 550 projects so there were many potential winners of the ASA Special Awards. Awards were presented to three NEOSEF projects, while five projects were recognized for Merit. Award winners received $75 each; Merit winners received $25 each.
