TRANSJUGULAR INTRAHEPATIC PORTALSYSTEMIC SHUNT (TIPS) VERSUS DISTAL SPLENORENAL SHUNT (DSRS)

DSRS -- The DSRS is a surgical procedure. During the surgery, the vein from the spleen (called the splenic vein) is detached from the portal vein and reattached to the left kidney (renal) vein.
