Longitudinal data refers to the collection of repeated observations on the same individual at different times and/or during different experimental situations. A primary objective of such studies is analyzing patterns of change over time and factors which influence that change. Because measurements taken on the same subject are correlated, special techniques are required to take full advantage of the information in the data.
