PROGRAMMER ANALYST I
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for program and subsystem development involved in systems implementation. Design, create, test, document and implement computer software. Will work on three or more different programming level projects simultaneously. Works closely with Systems Analyst to develop a system using the suggested platform and software. Assist in installing and troubleshooting software and setting up hardware and training on an individual and group basis.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of biostatistical support technologies to include: DBMS, Batch, On-Line, 4th Generation Languages, Query, Report Writers and Statistical Packages. Hands-on experience using at least one and preferably more than one high-level programming language. Strong verbal and written communiction skills. Advanced programming techniques and knowledge of sytems design concepts as demonstrated by previous work history or college level coursework. DBMS on-line experience and knowedge of system utilities - batch and on-line.
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area with programming emphasis and 2 years experience in programming or Associates Degree and 4 years of experience in programming or 6 years total experience in data programming.
Candidate with Oracle programming experience is preferred as well as specific experience in Mult-center clinical research trials.
